Ingredients

  • 1 small ginger root, unpeeled and cut into pieces
  • 1 lime or lemon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 apple, cored and cut into pieces (optional, for added taste)
  • 200 ml water

Instructions

1. Prepare ingredients

Cut the small ginger root into pieces, leaving the skin on.

Cut the lime or lemon into small pieces.

If using, core the apple and cut it into pieces.

2. Blend

Place the ginger pieces, lime or lemon pieces, apple pieces (if using), and 200 ml of water into a blender.

Blend the mixture until it is smooth.

3. Strain

Pour the blended mixture into a cup through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the pulp.

Press the pulp with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.

4. Serve

Pour the strained juice into a glass.

Enjoy immediately for the best taste and health benefits.

Notes

Optional Additions

You can add a teaspoon of honey for sweetness or a few ice cubes for a refreshing cold drink.

Storage

It’s best to consume the juice fresh, but it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking if stored.
