Warm, fluffy cinnamon rolls that melt in your mouth with every bite. These rolls are packed with a sweet, spiced filling that creates a delightful swirl in each roll. Ingredients

Dough

  • 250 ml (1 cup) warm milk
  • 50 g (1/4 cup) granulated sugar
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • 7 g (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 500 g (4 cups) all-purpose flour

Filling

  • 100 g (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 120 g (4 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened
  • 200 g (1 1/2 cups) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, and melted butter. Add the yeast and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Add the salt and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2. Prepare the Filling

In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll out the dough into a 30×40 cm (12×16 inch) rectangle on a floured surface.

Spread the softened butter over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.

3. Roll and Cut

Roll the dough tightly into a log starting from the longer side. Cut into 12 equal slices.

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

4. Bake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

5. Prepare the Frosting

In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and beat until creamy.

Spread the frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
